Choices
Life is basically one big chain of choices. Every day, we make decisions—big, small, life-changing, and some we barely even notice.
Maybe you chose to live abroad because you wanted adventure, a better job, a fresh start, or
the thrill of something new. Maybe it was about saving money or chasing a dream. Whatever
the reason, it was your choice.
And yet, isn’t it funny how we’re so good at judging ourselves even when no one else judges
us?
We beat ourselves over missed opportunities, bad decisions, or not saving enough for that
inevitable rainy day. We wonder if we picked the wrong country, the wrong job, or the wrong
path altogether. The truth? We all make mistakes. Loads of them.
But here’s the thing—dwelling on past regrets won’t change them. Owning up to your
mistakes is important, but getting stuck in them? That’s a dead-end street.
Whatever life throws at you, the trick is to believe in yourself and find at least one positive
takeaway from every experience. And sometimes, it doesn’t have to be a massive, mind-
blowing revelation. It can be something small—learning a new skill, meeting someone
interesting, or helping a stranger.
Life isn’t always fair. Sometimes, it’s downright brutal. But it’s also full of unexpected
rewards if you know where to look.
So, learn from your mistakes, reflect on them, and then—most importantly—move forward.
That’s the only choice that matters.
